Mixed Martial Arts: Is Loiseau back to himself now
David Loiseau wins a decision over Todd Gouwenberg at HCF on March 29, 2008.

On March 29, 2008 David the 'Crow' Loiseau was featured in the main event against Todd Gouwenberg at the Hardcore Championship fighting event in Robert Guertin Arena in Quebec. In his last fight, Loiseau lost a close decision against Jason Day but throughout that fight Loiseau looked weak, ambivalent, and generally lacking zip. Many attributed this to a lack of focus and a weak mental game as he had lost several fights after being at the top in his weight-class in the UFC.

On March 29, 2008, Loiseau looked much stronger, focussed and quick in this his latest fight. Loiseau, known for his vicious elbows, was not able to finish Gouwenberg with a submission but his performance nonetheless was dominating enough to make it easy for the judges to award him the victory.

After the fight Loiseau attributed his new zip to his conditioning saying he felt he was in great shape. This win no doubt helps him mentally in his future fights too. Many fight fans, especially those in Quebec, are glad to see that Loiseau is back to his old dominating form again.
